Evolving an identity rooted in regeneration
Born from decades of experience creating some of Africa’s most iconic conservation tourism destinations, Terra Nova Create entered a new chapter with ambitions to position itself as a global consultancy specialising in eco-lodge, hospitality and regenerative destination development.
While the business already had an established identity, the team felt it no longer reflected the depth of its story or the unique blend of conservation, architecture and hospitality expertise that sat behind the brand. They also needed to incorporate the newly adopted “Create” name to help distinguish themselves within the market.
Working closely with the founders, we developed a refined visual identity centred around a bespoke geometric marque inspired by the African dung beetle – a symbol of regeneration, resilience and renewal. Rather than illustrating the beetle literally, elements of its form were abstracted into a contemporary mark that subtly embeds the initials T, N and C while balancing architectural precision with organic movement.
The project extended beyond the logo itself to include a supporting colour palette, typography system and brand devices inspired by landscape contours and natural forms, creating a flexible identity toolkit for use across digital, print and presentation environments.
The result is an identity that feels more distinctive, purposeful and reflective of Terra Nova Create’s mission. It captures the team’s unique blend of conservation, hospitality and development expertise while providing a stronger platform for the next chapter of their journey.
